Theatre actor Sanjeev Jaiswal will play the role of Ajmal Kasab in RGV’s film on the 26/11 terrorist attacks
As RGV starts shooting for the film on 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks, the first look of the man playing Ajmal Kasab has been revealed. The man’s uncanny resemblance with the Pak terrorist is going to be the high-point of the film, say sources.

“Today is the first day of shooting of the most important film of my career ‘The Attacks Of 26/11’. That’s because it’s one of the most important event that ever happened… if not in scale and damage and tragedy just in sheer complexity it beats even 9/11,” says Ram Gopal Varma about his film.
He further adds that the shooting wouldn’t have been possible without the unimaginable inputs and insights given by the police officers into this event. The film has a completely new cast and is going to be shot in languages in Urdu, Hindi, English and Marathi. The film is primarily meant for an international release and is being made at a budget of around Rs 40 crores.

‘The Attacks of 26/11’ will detail every aspect of the carnage beginning with the terrorists taking over Amar Solanki’s trawler ‘Kuber’ to the killings in CST Station to the massacre at Taj right up to Kasab’s torture.
The most important actor obviously is the guy who’s going to play Kasab. “The reason being he becoming the face of the 26/11 attacks I needed someone similar and also a great actor to be able to portray the complexities involved and I found him in a theatre actor called Sanjay Jaiswal,” he ad
