Microsoft Launches Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 For Rs 3400
Touchscreens are fine for pointless browsing and fooling around with apps. However, if you want to get some work done, you have to fall back to the low-tech tactile input system invented way back in the 19th century. I mean the trusty ol' keyboard by that. Microsoft has come up with just the right gadget to make your tablets more productive with the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000.
This standard 104-key design is small and slim enough to slide into your backpack, and it's compatible with Apple's iPad and iPad 2 as well as "many" Android devices. If you have a Bluetooth dongle connected to your PC, you can even co-opt this mobile keyboard for desktop use. At any rate, it will be a travesty to imagine a Microsoft gadget not compatible with Windows.

The keyboard is powered by slimmer AAA batteries and weighs 400 grammes. Those used to regular keyboard design, however, will find its "ergonomist-friendly Microsoft Comfort Curve" design rather annoying. I know it's supposed to mimic a more natural wrist posture, but that's still an unnecessary learning curve in my book.
Like the Model T, the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 is available in any colour as long as it's black. The MRP is pegged at Rs 3400, but expect a lower street price at your neighbourhood hardware haven.
