Why Asin, Sonakshi refuse to star opposite Shahid

Recently media was abuzz with news that Sonakshi Sinha and Asin Thottumkal have refused to star opposite Shahid Kapoor, in the Hindi remake of superhit Tamil film Vettai.

Though now Ileana D'cruz has been roped in as the female lead of the film, here's the reason why the two ladies declined the offer. If reports are to be believed, Sinha refused as post Dabangg 2 and Rowdy Rathore, she doesn't want to be a part of another hero-centric film. And for Asin, well she had 'date problems'. Presently, Asin has her hands full with projects like Most Wanted and Sajid Nadiadwala's forthcoming film, which is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel Two States.

Well, this is not where Shahid's Vettai woes end. Karan Johar who was earlier supposed to co-produce the film along with UTV, has also pulled out his hands from the project. And buzz has it, that post this development, even Shahid is not too keen on doing the project. Moreover, he is also not happy with the script of the remake.

Well, with more and more people opting out of the project, we wonder what will be the future of this upcoming flick.
